“Here?” she whispered to him sweetly.
“We’re alone,” he said discreetly.
“I’ve been good till now!” she sighed.
“But you’re human!” he replied.
“It’s so big!” she hesitated.
“It’s all yours,” he proudly stated.
“Oh, I shouldn’t!” she protested.
“If you love me -!” he suggested.
And so, losing all resistance,
she gave in to his insistence …
and ate every single chocolate in the box!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
with a special thank you to my Valentine and Hallmark Cards.
Oh Ruth, that cracked me up! Thanks for the laugh.

ReplyDeleteI smile every time I read it ... and have another chocolate!
Have a happy Valentine's Day
What a darling play on words. So fun! Think I'll help myself to a chocolate.

ReplyDeleteI put a spoonful of chocolate in my morning coffee today for a mocha treat. I know, sinful but delicious.
Enjoy your day!
So cute, Ruth! My husband gave me a bag of Sarris chocolate covered pretzels last night. YUM! Not that I needed the darn things but he knows how much I like them. Then he proceeded to eat most of them. LOL
ReplyDeleteVery cute. But now I want a box of chocolates...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh to start my Monday morning!
ReplyDeleteAnd I too would succumb to such decadent temptation. Thanks for the smiles.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines day to you all.

Chocolate and pretzels are terrific. My favorite is still hot fudge on vanilla ice cream, although my daughter made a great chocolate fondue for my birthday last month.
Have a great Valentine's Day.
That was fun, Ruth. Great play with words. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks and have a great Valentine's Day.
Too funny! LOL
ReplyDeleteBut no more sweets for me. Every member of my son's boy scout troop had to make a space themed cake for an event today. I've never seen so many cakes!
Loved this!
ReplyDeleteLoved this!!! Thanks for making me smile today.
